Trunk is a more complete and realistic term for “core.” The entire torso from above the hip to the shoulder is the trunk. The trunk can contract many groups of abdominal low, mid, and upper back power band chains. This creates maximum strength and power in a motor skill pattern. Having a strong trunk is vital to having balance.
